The Engineering Team Lead is a knowledgeable individual in Railway Systems who provides technical and managerial leadership in their areas of expertise. They guide and manage the competency development of their team so that they achieve the required competencies in consultation with the Engineering Manager (EM). They also provide career path guidance and training needs to their team in consultation with the EM.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet productivity and quality goals

  • Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output

  • Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback

  • Coordinate the corresponding internal interfaces with the respective partners in departments of development, project execution, test center and with other internal partners

  • Coordinate the corresponding external interfaces with assessors, onshore partners (regional unit, customer, installation companies, etc.) and other external partners

  • Within the scope of the allocation of tasks in their area of responsibility and applicable regulations, decide on all aspects under their own autonomy and responsibility

  • Proven experience of leading team of engineers, along with technical expertise of Rail Systems.

  • Strong experience in rail signalling projects

  • Engineering degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
