We are looking to hire a resource in our CMI, Skin Cleansing BU based at Mumbai HO
Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job:
Skin Cleansing India is a critical cell in the Personal Care business – both globally and in India. This is also a critical cell for HUL as a company. The category encompasses varied sets of products and formats like soap bars, bodywashes, hand hygiene & intimate hygiene. The category is also home to legacy brands like Lifebuoy, Lux, Dove, Pears, and Hamam and offers the scope to work on a critical portfolio for the company.
As a member of the CMI community, the mission of the person would be to inspire, provoke, and drive transformational growth. As part of the Skin Cleansing CMI community, the person would be focusing on helping the team stay up to date on in-market performance, find growth opportunities, bring the voice of consumers into our marketing teams & support critical mixes.
Specifically, the person will be responsible for -
For leading the charge on continuous tracking and monitoring of Market Performance metrics and liaising with agencies responsible
For leading conversations & partnering with the varied Business Teams and associated functions
In supporting the Category & larger Country CMI team on everyday partnering
For leading design and execution of the Insights and strategic understanding roadmap for brands and mixes
Job Responsibilities:
In conjunction with CMI Manager, carry out market research projects
Determine the optimal research plan and method
Conducts and co-ordinates the project with the research agency partners and functional CMI partners
Manages projects within agreed budgets
Able to interpret and communicate key findings/recommendations
Be able to independently analyze & be on top of Market & Brand Performance (Share, Penetration, Distribution, Pricing, Brand Power)
Be able to combine primary/secondary research to provide actionable insights for the team
Be able to support the Business Partners with their plans on long-term strategy and associated research plans
Able to independently coach market research agency partners towards desired output without involving the line manager most of the time
Experiment using innovative new tools in Type B/Type C innovation projects
Has a strong understanding of MR tools and processes and continually develops their research skills, making full use of CMI Tools like People World, Dashboards, Guidelines tools and templates, Training opportunities
Good communication skills. Can work collaboratively with different functions

Key Skills:
Strong understanding of research techniques
Strong communication skills to be able to manage conversations with Business Partners and give initial recommendations
Understands categories, brands, and customers, able to grasp business issues
Strong curiosity and initiative to run deep-dive analyses into market performance results
Keen Sense of Ownership and can run discussions with teams independently
Understanding of Unilever processes and Ways of Working
Relevant Experience:
At least 5 years of work experience in Market Research / Consumer Insight roles in the agency/client side – preference for candidates with relevant agency background (Nielsen IQ, Kantar World Panel, Kantar BGS, etc.)
Has strong experience running research projects independently and managing different facets of the same.
Has experience working with different stakeholders across functions and managing expectations
