Responsibilities

As a Sr. Product Manager for Money Market Mutual Fund Sweep, you will be the "CEO" of your product at SVB. You will be responsible for product discovery, planning, delivery, and marketing throughout the product lifecycle. Product Managers ensure their products support business strategies, deliver features to clients, identify new-to-market products, and track progress via forecasts, KPIs and KRIs. This is a senior role so there may be a need to coach junior teammates under various contexts and lead significant strategic projects without direct oversight. This position is expected to work independently and be responsible for making crucial decisions that impact business success.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Acting as CEO and product owner to define vision, strategy, and roadmap to meet bank objectives and enhance client experience.
* Developing product strategy by utilizing your deep understanding of money market mutual funds, sweep services, competitive market trends, and the regulatory environment.
* Building roadmaps for your product based on defined strategies combined with your view of the changing technology landscape, client needs and associated jobs-to-be-done, as well as scoping benefits and impacts of potential initiatives.
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless product operations and ensure projects and associated go-to-market activities are executed.
* Maintaining and growing relationships with vendors, counterparties, and fund providers by communicating regularly on market dynamics, reviewing health of their businesses and services, and conducting periodic due diligence.
* Acting as a subject matter expert for money market mutual funds and sweep functionality; fully conversant in the market practices and trends and providing expertise to sales and customer focus group discussions
* Developing business cases for your initiatives that articulate value and ROI for use cases and solutions incorporating success metrics and benchmarking.
* Collaborating with Finance, Risk and Reporting functions to monitor product results, key risk indicators, and forecast models.
* Reviewing and proposing adjustments to product pricing and fee parameters to promptly respond to competitors within the marketplace.
* Updating product collateral, client agreements and internal policies while streamlining current processes and optimizing workflow where feasible.
* Proactively collaborating with cross-functional team members in Product Management, Account Management, Asset Management, Operations, Legal, Sales, etc...


Other:


The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is from $176,010.00 to $211,214.00.00 per year. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree or (HS or GED with 4 additional years of relevant experience)
* 6+ years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Management Consulting

Preferred Qualifications:

* 6+ years of experience across Bank Investment Sweeps, Money Market Mutual Funds, Deposit Product Management, or Liquidity Product Management
* MBA, CTP, and/or CFA is a plus
* Excellent problem-solving skills, including structuring ambiguous problems, thinking creatively, generating, and testing hypotheses, and providing actionable recommendations
* Excellent project management skills; must be able to manage multiple work streams independently
* Strong analytic thinking and analysis skills, financial modeling, and data aggregation skills
* Effective communication and relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting
* Strong critical thinking skills and experience with multiple business models
* Ability to lead and motivate formal and informal teams to deliver on tight-timelines and complex projects
* Ability to manage senior-level discussions & negotiations w/ external companies
