This project position is grant funded through June 30, 2025 and is dependent on continued funding. This position is exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules. Position Purpose This positions supports former foster care students and those experiencing homelessness or in danger of experiencing homelessness. Non-clinical case management includes identifying and coordinating a range of support for Evergreen students who are experiencing basic need barriers and working with these students individually to coordinate support. These barriers may include, but are not limited to, homelessness, food insecurity, and/or lack of access to basic needs. The position also works to assist each student in navigating the systems at Evergreen, including Academics, Registration, Financial Aid, and other areas that may support the student. The incumbent carries a caseload of approximately 50-100 students eligible for the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) Supporting Students experiencing Homelessness (SSEH) grant services. This role assesses eligibility and works with the Evergreen Financial Aid office to distribute WSAC SSEH Housing subsidies. This role supports students at the Olympia and Tacoma campuses, the Campus Emergency Food distribution process, and other initiatives as needed. This position is pivotal to the work of the Holistic Advising initiative on-campus and serves in a leadership role within Evergreen's CARE Team. The incumbent partners with community organizations, in addition to campus services and offices, such as Academic and Career Advising, TRIO Services, Student Activities, Residential and Dining Services, faculty, and others as needed. Nature and Scope This position reports to the Director of Title IX, Clery, and Student Rights and Responsibilities in the Student Engagement, Equity, and Support division. This is a cross-divisional role also supported by Title 3 and Center for Community Based Learning and Action (CCBLA). The incumbent is part of the team addressing basic needs on the Evergreen and Tacoma campuses and serves in a leadership role. The position supports and assists the college's Basic Needs Center, which is supported by the CCBLA. Basic Needs Center support includes the Basic Needs Navigator, AmeriCorps positions, and student employees. This position works with the Basic Needs Navigator to oversee AmeriCorps and student positions and the Basic Needs Center as applicable.
