Description

Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with a Utica client of his that is looking to hire a Controller. This organization offers a lot of growth as the goal of this position is to move into the CFO position. This role will work closely with executive leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Develop, implement, and manage annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor and analyze variances, providing explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.

• Analyze manufacturing costs and identify areas for improvement in cost-efficiency and operational effectiveness. Implement cost-saving measures and track their impact.

• Develop and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP solutions for efficient management of accounting functions.

• Conduct auditing processes and maintain budget processes in line with company standards.
