Job Summary
Responsible for developing and executing the annual giving strategy, advancing federal grant funding, and managing community engagement to fuel the donor pipeline within the framework of Council policies, standards, goals, objectives, and budget. This position will also work on special projects for the development team.
Job Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned.
• Design and manage multi-year direct mail pieces to support the GSSJC annual fund.
• Manage a portfolio of 25-50 mid-level donors.
• In collaboration with the Camperships Committee, design and manage the annual solicitation for camperships.
• Manage all outreach opportunities for the department, including opportunities to present or exhibit at local events.
• Write the annual donor Impact Report.
• Provide oversight for all special projects.
• Oversee Development website content.
• Manage and cultivate federal grant portfolio.
• Collect and contribute material for the quarterly donor publication, Connections.
• Plan and execute the Raising Awesome Girls speaker series, providing active girls’ parents pertinent, current resources.
• Coordinate with program staff to implement Ask the Experts events twice annually (?), recruiting and stewarding corporate partners’ participation.
• Serve as lead contact for all GSUSA funding opportunities.
• Attend all Development department events.
• Manage a program to engage alumnae for ongoing sustainability and support, including developing engagement strategies for alumnae based on life stage preferences.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of donor information at all times.
• Provide support to the Development Director and other team members as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to donors.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Embrace and promote pluralism as an integral part of every activity and plan of Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council.
• Maintain Girl Scout uniform and GSUSA membership.
• Work collaboratively on council initiatives.
• Support a culture of philanthropy and consider a personal gift to GSSJC and United Way.
• Participate in conferences, staff meetings and events.
