New York University Post-Doctoral Associate in the Center for Interacting Urban Networks - Dr. Monica Menendez in Abu Dhabi, United States

The Center for Interacting Urban Networks, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate to support a project studying one or more of the Center’s three research themes: mobility, uncertainty, and fairness.

The successful applicant will contribute to interdisciplinary research centered on these three themes. The themes are closely linked to one of NYU Abu Dhabi’s key research impact areas outlined in the Excellence 2030 Strategic Framework: Urban Systems. Research along these three themes should capture the interaction of physical, digital, and social networks in cities. This interdisciplinary research approach will systematically address questions within each theme across three critical dimensions: technology, data, and interventions.

The qualified candidate will have a Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g., the social sciences, computer science, engineering, etc.) and experience working on interdisciplinary teams. This position requires excellent computational and data management skills.

For consideration, applicants must submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a statement of research interests, and the contact information for 3 referees, who may be contacted through the selection process. The research statement should outline specific project(s) that the candidate would like to lead within CITIES along with potential collaborators with the Center. If you have any questions, please email us at nyuad.cities@nyu.edu .

Evaluations will start immediately until the role is filled. The earliest start date for this position is September 1st, 2024.
