INDIAN EYES LLC 1126 Senior Engineer - System Engineering Lead in Aiken, South Carolina
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Scope technical tasks and develop creative solutions to assigned problems. Begin using systems and meeting requirements with minimal supervisory guidance. Accepts complex tasks and receives minimal guidance from senior professionals.
- Incorporate conventional engineering or scienti?c practices and a variety of complex features such as complicated technical requirements, application of new or special materials or processes and di?cult coordination or oversight requirements into problem solving and program planning.
- Provide limited guidance and direction to less senior engineering professionals.
- Carry out development and quali?cation programs on tasks concurrent with other phases such as design and fabrication to better evaluate and minimize future problems.
- Develop alternate solutions to existing problems. Perform all detail work necessary to determine best solutions.
- Evaluate proposals and make recommendations based on proposed projects/tasks in area of assignment.
- May delegate portions of the detail work to less senior personnel.
- Prepare costs and schedule estimates on proposed projects/tasks in assigned area. Demonstrate cost and schedule consciousness through timely completion of assigned tasks and projects.
Prepare manuals and other documents supporting or publicizing the technical e?ort. Demonstrate creative ability through medium of patent disclosures, problem solving, engineering reports, technical papers and articles.
Required Qualifications/ Skills / Experience:
- In applicable science or engineering discipline entry level PhD degree; or, MS degree with 2-4 years' experience; or BS and 5-10 years' experience
- Understands and applies advanced knowledge of discipline's standard theories, concepts, principles and techniques; has working knowledge of standard engineering/scienti?c practices and applications
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties.
- Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred
- Value Management engineering studies and alternative solutions preferred.
- Development and implementation of system engineering software tools (e.g. CORE, DOORS, Expert Choice, etc.) preferred
- System and design reviews preferred
- Requirements management tracking, validations, and veri?cations preferred
- Development and execution of project management plans preferred
- Systems functional modeling, layout, and analysis preferred
