HICKORY LAKE CAMPGROUND COOPERATIVE Campground Caretaker in Aitkin, Minnesota
Hickory Lake Campground is a small (56 site) privately owned cooperative campground located in north central Minnesota. It is located on Highway 169, 6 miles south of Aitkin, or approximately two hours north of the Twin Cities. The campground is situated on the shores of Hickory Lake which is approximately 200 acres, is an excellent fishing lake, and the campground has the only boat landing on the lake. Hickory Lake Campground offers only seasonal rental sites along with owner-occupied sites (no short stays, so no reservations to be taken). The campground has a heated pool, swimming beach, playground, horseshoes, volleyball, game room, and gathering room. The caretaker position is responsible for all functions of the campground and to ensure the safety and satisfaction of guests and owners including: Communication with renters/owners; enforcement of campground rules Daily pool maintenance, cleaning, and chemical testing Ensuring all cleaning and general maintenance tasks are completed, including daily cleaning of the shower house, gathering room, and fish house Mowing, trimming and grounds upkeep General maintenance Thorough communication with the cooperative president Ability to swim, as you may be required to enter pool or lake to perform routine maintenance General handyman skills including light plumbing and electrical Comfort with hand and power tools Ability to use lawn equipment including push mower, riding mower, leaf blower, and weed whip Basic computer skills such as email or MS Office applications Likes working outdoors; this will be almost an exclusively outdoor job Salaried compensation depending on experience and certifications.
