Robert Half Senior IT Systems Administrator in Akron, Ohio
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator in Akron, Ohio, United States. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting, maintaining, and evolving the technology infrastructure and will play a critical role in our team. This position provides an opportunity to be part of a wide variety of IT systems projects and is an in-office opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, storage arrays, backups, and VMware virtualization technologies.
• Installation and upgrading of computer components and software, managing virtual servers, and addressing the technical needs of the business.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and solutions, prioritizing issues, and assessing the impact of these issues.
• Overseeing Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, and Intune.
• Providing documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
• Performing or delegating regular backup operations and implementing appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
• Leading desktop and helpdesk support efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
• Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and systems performance.
• Working with IT Leadership to develop financial plans and budgets based on alignment with technological innovation and industry-standard advancement.
Skills:
• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies, Database, Dell Technologies, EO/IR systems, Linux Technologies, Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Deployments. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator
• Proficient with Cisco Technologies
• Familiarity with Database management is essential
• Experience with Dell Technologies is required
• Knowledge of EO/IR systems is desirable
• Must have experience with Linux Technologies
• Proficiency in Active Directory is necessary
• Experience with Backup Technologies is crucial
• Must have solid knowledge of Computer Hardware
• Familiarity with Configuration Management is important
