Information Security Specialist in Albany, NY
This role requires 50% onsite work.
The incumbent will be part of a professional data team and be responsible for supporting efforts to improve security and privacy protection within the Center for Health Data Innovation. The Center is
responsible for multiple systems in support of assessing and analyzing the healthcare ecosystem in New York State. These systems include the states All Payer Database, SPARCS, Data Quality solutions, Master Data Management solutions, Provider Directory, and more.
This position offers the opportunity to develop and implement new information security technologies and methods in a rapidly moving environment. The incumbent will work closely with all levels of technical, scientific, and management staff.
The incumbent will be responsible for:
• Performing access management tasks and audits
• Assisting with risk assessments, data classification and identity assurance
• Developing and implementing data access control process and procedures
• Monitoring and responding to potential security events
• Handling incident response vulnerability management tasks
Minimum Experience:
8 years of SAS, SQL, Tableau, Python, R or equivalent analytical/programming software experience,
Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, & Excel
*Employees must follow established work schedules. The usual work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise specified by the supervisor, this includes a half hour unpaid lunch break. Total work hours must equal 40 hours per week.
Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
