Minimum Qualifications Five years experience in SQL and application development using C#, with two years experience in .NetThe following degrees may substitute for the general experience as indicated: ? Associate’s degree and four years of experience? Associate’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and three years of experience? Duties Description Under the direction of Manager Information Technology Services 1, SG-27, within the Chief Technology Office – Business Application Services – Labor Workforce Education Portfolio supporting the Workers Compensation Bureau (WCB) , the Project Assistant, SG-NS, will be responsible for overseeing staff, participating in the design, development, testing, implementation of .Net applications. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:- Perform application developments of the interface and service components that utilize some of the programming languages and skills/technologies, such as C#.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, XML, Azure platform, NodeJS, GIT, and database and content management systems.- Analyze of existing processes and documenting the requirements that are related to a specific business objective.- Create functional specs that are based on the business requirements and contain the details of end-user expectations of the functionality of the product. - Evaluate the requirements of information systems and designing such systems by applying analysis and design techniques.- Prepare documentation for all application changes.- Work with version control systems, development of detailed unit test and system test plans to ascertain the new system adheres to the business rules.- Remediation of any bugs or problems found in testing.- Development of post-production support plans; and on-going maintenance and support of the application.- Performing all supervisory responsibilities and ability to mentor and facilitate the personal growth of subordinates.
