Lake Ontario Fruit, Inc. Sanitation Supervisor in Albion, New York
Lake Ontario Fruit, Inc. is looking for a candidate to fill the critical role of Sanitation Supervisor for our 2nd shift. The appropriate candidate will lead a team of 6-8 employees in the daily sanitation of the production facility. The Sanitation Supervisor will communicate with Management and be able to give appropriate direction to all employees to maintain the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of all equipment and the facility.
Essential Duties:
Oversee, design, implement, enhance, monitor and continuously improve the sanitation program. Supervise, train and assist Sanitation staff with proper cleaning of plant equipment and environments. Perform detailed inspections of equipment and environment to reduce and/or eliminate product contamination via physical, chemical and biological hazards using visual and ATP swab technology. Responsible for completion and documentation of Master Sanitation Schedule. Maintain a complete inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals. Secondary Duties:
Make purchases requests for cleaning supplies as needed. Report trending, ATP Results and process improvement to the Food Safety Supervisor. Participate in HACCP meetings. Ensure team is properly trained in chemicals, and consistently uses all PPE required for their position. Coordinate with the Food Safety Supervisor to manage MSDSs to ensure master list is updated. Knowledge of chemical use in a food processing facility Ability to manage and organize multiple tasks while being complete and thorough in all interactions Knowledge of chemicals and their uses and basic knowledge of production machinery operation Assist in audit preparations, audits, and serve on other company food safety teams as needed. Job Qualifications:
Supervisory experience preferred. Ability to follow written and verbal procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of plant cleaning chemical properties and uses helpful. Must be 18 or older. Competitive compensation offered based on experience.
