Resurrected Life Children's Academy Lead Pre-K Counts Teacher in Allentown, Pennsylvania
Resurrected Life Children's Academy is seeking a full-time lead pre-K Counts Teacher to join our mission of providing a comprehensive child development program designed to give children a head start in life, empower parents, and strengthen families. Responsibilities:
- Implement educational programming within the program philosophy and under all RLCA Performance Standards and Pennsylvania Learning Standards for early childhood accreditation and licensing requirements to support each child's developmental needs.
- Ability to be confidential with staff, students, and parents
- Commitment to work with low-income families/children
- Plan and maintain an integrated classroom environment and materials in response to the enrolled children and ensure organization, cleanliness, and safety in all classrooms
- Analyze observations and assessments to plan for each child
- Attend staff development activities
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or related field.
- At least two years experience working with children, preferably in a classroom setting
- Spanish bi-lingual preferred
- Ability to recognize and appreciate diversity
- Ability to carry a minimum of 50 lbs. to assist children as needed and to move equipment and materials.
- Intermediate computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Word and Outlook and learn web-based systems
- Complete screenings, observations, assessments, and education plans as scheduled and maintain up-to-date documentation in children's files
- Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including Criminal History, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances
