Product Development Engineer

Location: Remote or in one of our offices (Some travel may be required)

What You will do:

• Product development including ideation, design, standardization, testing, validation, and report writing.
• Regular communication with customers.
• Work with the marketing team to provide accurate documentation for concepts, manuals, parts lists, etc.
• Lead and grow a team of engineers.
• Effectively communicate between project teams, customers, and vendors.
• Coordinate with the supply chain regarding purchase components and implementing a manufacturing plan.
• Identify new technology for integrating into or expanding a product line.
• Provide technical expertise from ideation through product launch.

• Leadership experience, ability to lead a team of designers in-person and remotely.
• Exceptional communication skills, ability to work with multiple interdisciplinary teams, and effectively communicate between project teams, customers, and vendors.
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic, adaptable, detail and task-oriented, ability to multi-task and solve complex engineering problems.
• Continually learning, proactive, entrepreneurial, driven, creative, and possess superior problem-solving skills.

Knowledge:

• Strong engineering fundamentals, knowledge of equipment controls, sensors, manufacturing processes, and Design for Manufacture practices.
• Experience in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office Tools, including Excel.
• Basic understanding of accounting, budgeting, and marketing impacts on project success.

``` - Varied market experiences are strongly preferred. - 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field (preferred).

Ability to Implement:

• 5+ years of related experience with material handling equipment or machine design.
• Experience in a Start-up environment is ideal.
