The Data Engineering and Analytics team (DEA) is looking for a Intermediate QA role to assure data quality. This role will assist the DEA team in their goal of providing timely and accurate metrics to internal consumers for regulatory monitoring. Utilizing SQL, BigQuery, and Looker the Quality Engineer will verify new functionality and reporting while monitoring data health.
What you'll do The Quality Engineer is primarily responsible for performing Data Quality Analysis for assuring and measuring the quality of the continuous Data Delivery by the Data Engineering and Analytics (DEA) Tribe. In order to assure high levels of quality, the QE operates across all phases BI Life Cycle process, striving to shift defect identification and resolution as left as possible in the process. The QE will test both functional and non-functional aspects of the system and work closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers and BI Developers to advise on corrective action or the optimal way to achieve desired quality levels. Define test cases based on user requirements, and perform testing of applications, focusing on functional and end-to-end testing, validating that system response and output accurately reflect business requirements as outlined in requirements document. Identify and document defects. Operate within existing testing methodology. Identify and resolve test environment issues. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all work including status updates to summarize project highlights; validating that processes operate properly and conform to standards.
What experience you need BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field 2 years of software testing experience 2 years of experience working with SQL/BigQuery/Looker 2 years of experience in Data Pipeline testing and Data Analysis

Quality Focus - Ensure communications are thorough and accurate for all work documentation including status updates; Peer review created test cases Risk Mitigation - Work with team leads to track and determine prioritization of defects fixes
