Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible General Production Worker to join our team. You will be responsible for moving full and empty totes, setting up tote pumping, operating sit-down propane forklifts, and loading tanks and totes manually. You will also assist operators with prep work and batch work, document all orders, stage necessary ingredients for batches, and calculate batch sizes. Additionally, you will be filling products into totes and drums and performing various housekeeping duties as needed.
Responsibilities
Move full and empty totes
Set up tote pumping (handling of pumps, hoses, and lance; start/stop AOD pump)
Pump contents from totes to storage tanks and vice versa
Operate sit-down propane forklift
Load tanks and totes manually
Climb tankers if necessary
Connect pumps and hoses and monitor filling
Assist operators with prep work and batch work
Document all orders
Stage necessary ingredients for batches
Calculate batch sizes
Work with drums and totes
Fill products into totes and drums
Perform housekeeping duties (sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, salting parking lot when it snows)
Work flexibly in multiple areas, moving from packaging to formulation as needed
Essential Skills
Forklift operation
Experience with pumps, hoses, and filling
Ability to perform multiple jobs and work in multiple areas
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Manufacturing experience
Steel toe boots
Additional Skills & Qualifications
chemical, oil, or food manufacturing (preferred)

Work Environment
The Alsip facility is a modern and clean facility, temperature controlled, and divided between the production floor and warehouse. It has a smaller workforce with a focus on customized orders and pallets. The Chicago Heights facility, although not as new, is also temperature controlled with a larger workforce and more production lines. It can be more chaotic due to the higher volume of work and employees. Both sites prioritize safety, are well-organized, and handle non-harmful chemicals. Employees are required to wear steel toe boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alsip, Illinois
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr.
