This job order is for a temporary/seasonal position in: (Hedrick, Ok.)
Title: Farmworkers & Laborers, Crop, Nursery, Greenhouse
Dates of Contract: 03/01/2025-12/31/2025
Schedule: Monday-Saturday 7:00am-4:00pm
Duties: Direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting of crops; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment such as cleaning and preparing ditches; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as picker baler, module builder, boll buggy, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as cotton; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer s fields, load employer s crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Regulate conditions; Feel plants' leaves and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease; Maintain inventory; Trap and destroy pests such as moles, gophers, and mice; Attend to live farm animals like cattle such as calving cows and heifers, vaccinating, tagging, supplementing, feeding; Haul and spread inputs, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Weigh containers and record weights and identifying information; Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, discard rotten i
Requirements: Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
Pay: $15.79
-FLSA exempt: no overtime paid
