The role
Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
As Senior Legal Counsel (f/m/d) you will join our Legal Department in the Benelux region. You will report to the Regional General Counsel Benelux and advise our business units in Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands on corporate, commercial, tender, and IT law.
Your new area of responsibility
Act as a trusted business advisor, providing legal advice and support to the operational business units of SoftwareOne in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Focus on drafting, reviewing and negotiating customer, supplier and partner contracts as well as tender documents and the conception of new legal standards.
Offer advice on contract and IT law, public tender law, data protection, and compliance.
Ensure legal compliance with local laws and EU regulations relevant to the operations of the company.
Manage multiple legal projects simultaneously, while maintaining high quality standards.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement legal strategies that support business objectives.
Develop and coordinate training courses for our employees across different departments.
Coordinate and monitor the work of external consultants.
What we need to see from you
Qualifications and skills
Qualified lawyer in one of the Benelux countries, the Netherlands preferred.
5+ years of post-qualification experience, gained in a law firm and/or an in-house corporate international environment, ideally with a background in the IT sector.
Legal all-rounder (especially in the areas of civil law, tender law and IT law) and always think pragmatically and solution orientated.
Native language is Dutch, and proficient in written and spoken English (including technical English). Ideally, proficient in written and spoken French.
Firm commercial attitude and thrive in cross-functional collaboration as an advisory legal business partner.
Strong attention to detail and experience in drafting, preparing and negotiating commercial contracts with both customers and vendors/partners.
High level of self-motivation, team spirit and strong communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build positive relationships with business collaborators.
