Maintenance Mechanic
Anacortes, WA
$22-$40/hr
Sunday-Thursday (5am-2:30pm OR 2pm-10:30 pm)
Job Description
A seafood processor is looking to add maintenance mechanics to their team! The Maintenance Mechanic repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and production machines and equipment.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair a variety of production machinery
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
Utilize micrometers, calipers, and gauges to inspect parts
Repair or replace defective parts
Lubricate and clean parts, equipment, and machinery
Test and adjust equipment to ensure it meets specs
Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, saws, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
Sharpen and reshape tools as necessary
Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines
Repair electrical equipment
Follow plant food safety policies and industry best practices
Qualifications
Experience in Production Maintenance
Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and bagging machine
Ability to operate a variety of hand tools including welding machines, cutting torches, and power tools
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Working knowledge of electric motors, gearboxes, conveyors, PLCs, control systems, bagging equipment, bearings, and other OEM food manufacturing equipment (preferred).
Proficiency in various software programs such as Microsoft applications.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $40.00/hr.
