RESPEC Program Manager, Northern Region Facilities in Anchorage, Alaska

[RESPEC an employee-owned professional consulting and services company, specializes in applying engineering principles and innovative technologies to solve our clients most challenging problems. [Our Facilities Market Sector seeks an experienced Program Manager to lead our Northern Region Facilities business, focusing on personnel management and business development within the Alaska market north of the Alaska Range. You will also work with the Facilities Director and other Program Managers to develop the sectors strategic plan, setting the vision, establishing budgets and goals, and guide the team towards success. You will be responsible for managing the PandL for the program, overseeing staffing needs, and spearheading initiatives to improve our market presence.

  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a team of design consultants, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their success. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and recommendations to achieve their project needs. Ensure exceptional delivery of services, meeting client expectations and driving tangible business outcomes.
  • Business Development: Drive business development and sales efforts to identify and pursue opportunities, maintain a strong position with our current customer base, and acquire new clients. Cultivate relationships with key RESPEC leaders to help drive additional consulting work across all RESPEC lines of business.
  • Partnership Management: Identify strategic partnerships and alliances that complement our existing programs. Negotiate partnership agreements and collaborate with partners to deliver comprehensive offerings to clients.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of the Facilities Northern Region program, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

  • B.S. in Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Professional Engineering registration.
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting business management.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading a team of technical staff.
  • Strong understanding of facilities planning, design, and construction.
  • Robust leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • A strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for driving business success.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), typically Monday through Friday during normal 8:00am to 5:00pm business hours.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package that consists of medical, vision and dental insurance; holidays; paid leave; 401(k) Plan and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP); continuing education; and professional society dues.
