Robert Half Accounting Associate in Andover, Massachusetts
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant position in Andover, Massachusetts. This role is based in the telecom industry and will be conducted fully on-site.
Responsibilities:
• Support daily operations within the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments.
• Coordinate the balancing of bank statements and perform reconciliations.
• Assist in the bill payment process.
• Participate actively in all month-end processes and procedures.
• Prepare and participate in projects as needed, taking on a leadership role when necessary.
• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate financial records.
• Navigate Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Microsoft Excel, to manage and organize data.
• Handle both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Manage billing functions and oversee cash activity.
• Use ADP - Financial Services and Great Plains (GPAC) for various accounting functions. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Experience with Billing Functions
• Ability to handle Cash Activity
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
