Summary:

Internet2 is seeking an experienced Software Architect to make high level decisions and collaboratively developed designs for community and in-house software applications. You will see the "big picture" and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to plan and guide the various community and partner development teams. This role requires strong sensitivities to business, program and product practices and requirements tracking / management. The Software Architect will make high-level decisions and designs across our community and in-house software applications. Create architectural approaches, guide development teams, and ensure alignment with business, program, and product requirements.Provide a framework for the development of a software or system that will result in high quality Identity and Access Management solutions for the community and Internet2Role will be instrumental in building and maintaining the applications which power the community and the organization's Identity and Access Management functionality, Community.

Responsibilities: Collaborate with other professionals to determine business, user, and software requirements, while clearly delineating between functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications.Serve as the definition and coordination focal point for development partner identified work; and between Internet2 and our community development architects and practitioners.Identify, adopt and deploy the various tools and methodologies in use, or necessary, to create representations for functions and user interfaces of desired product.Develop high-level product, system, and/or service specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.Define and/or reinforce the necessary practices for all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards.Communicate and collaborate successfully, all concepts and guidelines in concert with the various development teams.Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.Oversee progress of development teams and agency partners to ensure consistency with initial design.Provide technical guidance to developers and engineers who may need assistance with standards, implementation nuance or other areas.With support and input from architects, realizes architectural schemes using prescribed/selected technologies, implements data and information structure and features, data-persistence designs; data models; and information structures. Qualifications: MSc/MA in computer science, engineering, management of information systems or equivalent industry experience in a relevant field.5+ years experience as a software architect with understanding of product and project management.3+ years experience in software development and coding in a broad selection of languages, frameworks, and patterns (Examples: React, Laravel, Django, C#, .NET, PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, Java, CSS, etc.).Strong Technical background and excellent
