Incident Management Automation is a team of passionate and hard-working engineers who are dedicated to ensuring the highest level of availability and reliability for OCI services and customers. We are building new technologies that automate the detection, diagnosis, and recovery of operational events for OCI global distributed cloud services. This U.S.-based position is targeting candidates in PST Time Zone, for working closely with development teams across different locations.

Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced hands-on software developer who enjoys building complex, highly technical products and services in the Cloud from ground up. As a member of the Incident Management Automation team, you will help us define the future of services used daily by both customers and internal teams. You will:
Design, develop and fix scalable, operationally focused, internal and customer-facing cloud services.
Automate common tasks to enable continuous delivery and ensure continuous availability with minimal human overhead.
Drive performant, scalable, and forward-thinking solutions to completion on time.
Maintain both development and production infrastructure as part of a customer-focused engineering culture with operational excellence.
Provide technical mentorship and constructive feedback to leadership, team members, and other collaborators.
Contribute to product roadmaps by identifying areas of need and engaging with collaborators to scope work.
Mentor and coach junior members in the team.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in the software industry working on architecture, system and software design, development and delivery of highly scalable products and services.
Bachelor's Degree or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Experience with the entire product development lifecycle including writing technical specification, developing and reviewing code, driving DevOps, managing releases and operations.
Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Comfort with complex, rapidly evolving software development environments. Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Strong back-end development experience in Java or other similar modern programming language.
Experience in microservice-based architectures, distributed systems, databases, REST APIs and Cloud technologies.
Good grip over CI/CD process and infrastructure tools such as git, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform.
Previous experience of using Cloud services (IaaS, PaaS) is highly desirable.
Experience with front-end / full-stack development is a bonus but is not required.
Experience with system monitoring, automation and incident management tools is preferable.

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
