J&J Worldwide Services Warehouse Manager in Annapolis, Maryland

Description

General Summary

Purchasing of supplies for internal use referred to as indirect goods and services. Purchase all products necessary to maintain the facility for the company’s standards and policies. Monitor and maintain all purchases, invoices and provide tracking mechanism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Purchases Supplies, takes inventory to maintain shelf par levels throughout the facilities.

  • Distributes supplies, delivers and stores supplies in appropriate locations per departmental guidelines with established time frames.

  • Processes all supply requisitions/credits per department guidelines and provide to Corporate Office

  • Contributes to a safe, clean and operational environment

  • Provides ancillary support and coverage in areas assigned

  • Maintains and updates Maximo.

  • Managing Vendor performance on a quarterly basis

  • Prepares monthly reports as needed

  • Logs all employee call-ins and informs appropriate supervisor/management

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Three to five years experience with purchasing, storing, maintaining and issuing stock in a maintenance environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job

  • Ability to use computerized purchasing systems

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing components

  • Previous experience using MAXIMO or equivalent system preferred.

  • Knowledge of Maximo and Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) preferred.

  • Knowledge of Carpentry, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical and Plumbing/HVAC trades.

  • Knowledge of procurement procedures and practices preferred.
