Job Title: Production Machine Operator
Job Description
As a Production Machine Operator, you will be responsible for performing basic start-up and shut down procedures for machine operations and loading materials in machining. You will set up tooling, make basic machine adjustments as necessary, and check machined parts visually and dimensionally to meet production standards. You will polish and apply finish to parts using various equipment, read and process basic blueprint details, and use calipers, gauges, and dial indicators. Additionally, you will assemble parts and package final products for shipping. Reporting any machine malfunctions and part discrepancies to the department leader, performing basic machine maintenance, and keeping the work area safe, clean, and organized are also essential parts of this role.
Responsibilities
Perform basic start-up and shut down procedures for machine operations and load materials in machining.
Set up tooling and make basic machine adjustments as necessary.
Check machined parts visually and dimensionally to meet production standards.
Polish and apply finish to parts using various equipment.
Read and process basic blueprint details, calipers, gauges, and dial indicators as necessary.
Assemble parts and package final products for shipping.
Recognize and report any machine malfunctions and part discrepancies to the department leader.
Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and adding oils and coolants as needed.
Report any machine malfunctions immediately to the department manager.
Keep the work area and equipment safe, clean, and organized.
Assist in the shop as needed.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience in assembly.
At least 1 year of experience reading blueprints.
At least 2 years of experience using hand tools.
At least 1 year of experience operating machinery within manufacturing.
Experience using calipers and gauges.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Preferably previous experience using calipers or operating machines in an industrial environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
