Fairview Health Services Mammography Technologist - Clinic in Apple Valley, Minnesota

Overview

F airview Health Services is hiring a Mammography Technologist to join our medical imaging department at our M Health Fairview facility location at our Apple Valley Clinic.

The Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic proceedures under the direction of a provider and provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

Schedule : This is a 1.0FTE position (80 hour per 2 week pay period). This position will work 8-10 hour day shifts and weekends if needed.

Responsibilities Job Description

Prioritize work to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Determines and revises priorities for diagnostic testing

Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs

Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team

Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures

Adheres to radiologic diagnostic testing procedures

Documents compliance with regulatory agency requirement

Follows infection control guidelines and adheres to safety protocols

Ensures imaging procedures meet all standards and protocols

Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members

Responds appropriately to emergent situations

Evaluates imagine results for diagnostic quality

Assesses the validity of the test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances

Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution

Demonstrating ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural difference of population served.

Qualifications

Required

ARRT (R) (M)

Digital mammography experience

Minimum of one year of related experience in General Diagnostic Breast Imaging and 1 year of experience working with patients in a capacity including frequent interactions and an understanding age-life cycle need.

BLS - from American Red Cross or American Heart Association and current before date of hire
