Kelly Services HR/Payroll Assistant in Appleton, Wisconsin

Location: Appleton, WI

Full time: 8:00 - 4:30 Mon-Fri

Temporary contract 6+ months

Job Description: As a Payroll and HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our human resources and payroll functions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and documenting Paycor Payroll processes: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including data entry for new hires and other necessary updates.

  • Performing ad-hoc Payroll & Benefit-related reporting: Generate reports as needed to support payroll and benefit administration activities.

  • Completing benefits calculations and updates: Assist in managing employee benefits programs, including calculations and updates to ensure compliance and accuracy.

  • Assisting with the Authorized Driver Program: Support the administration and tracking of the company's Authorized Driver Program.

  • Conducting FLSA reporting and calculations: Stay informed about relevant labor regulations and assist with FLSA reporting and calculations in accordance with new DOL rules.

  • Compa-ratio project: Collaborate with the HR team to generate reports for each department within the company, showing salary ranges, current salaries, and compa-ratios for each role.

  • Assisting with tracking and follow-up for annual evaluations: Support the HR team in tracking employee evaluations and facilitating follow-up as needed.

  • Conducting Paycor auditing: Perform regular audits of Paycor payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Providing other HR support as needed: Assist with various HR tasks and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with HR and/or Payroll

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of HR or payroll experience preferred

  • Proficiency in Paycor Payroll software or similar payroll systems

  • Knowledge of benefits administration and calculations

  • Experience with FLSA reporting and compliance
