Overview: Join our dedicated team as a Manufacturing Engineer in Turkey, where you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the production processes of rail vehicles. This position is ideal for those passionate about engineering excellence and continuous improvement in a highly technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control production and assembly processes for rail vehicles, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project timelines.

  • Support external production operations and supplier management from initiation through to the final handover of rail vehicles.

  • Implement and refine Lean Manufacturing strategies to improve material flow and overall production efficiency.

  • Conduct detailed time studies and align these with production planning to optimize assembly line efficiency.

  • Manage Open Item Lists (OIL) to track production issues and facilitate the continuous improvement process by implementing necessary design, supply, or quality changes.

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between Quality, Purchasing, and Engineering departments to streamline production processes.

  • Supervise the implementation of Quality Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and drive the resolution of quality issues.

  • Coordinate customer visits, manage factory acceptance inspections, and ensure customer requirements are met in collaboration with the Quality department.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with previous experience in the rail vehicle industry highly regarded.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of CAD and ERP software programs, with a preference for candidates familiar with Infor LN.

  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and experience applying quality tools such as FMEA and PFMEA.

  • Demonstrated capability in managing complex projects and interfacing effectively with multiple stakeholders across different departments.

  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills suited for interfacing with internal teams and external clients.
