A-State participates in E-Verify.\ \ Position Summary:\ \ The Student Support Services Disability (SSSD) Project Coordinator works under the general supervision of\ the SSSD Director and the HSU TRiO Director. The Project Coordinator is responsible for 100 disadvantaged\ participants with disabilities, their qualifications, financial aid, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)\ documentation. The Project Coordinator provides adaptive services and supervises special details\ (transportation, workshop reservations, adaptive equipment loan program, alternative print services,\ coordinating scholarship awards, and timely payment for vendor services and other assigned duties).\ \ In addition, the SSSD Project Coordinator must ensure that all Student Support Services Disabilities paperwork\ is completed and submitted promptly to the U.S. Department of Education, HSU Business office, ASU, and\ within the SSSD federal budget. Finally, the Project Coordinator must interpret Electronic Data Gathering,\ Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR)- federal regulations on allowable costs and approved educational activities for\ participants.\ \ Duties & Responsibilities:\ \

  • Produce a variety of correspondence that includes letters, proposals, memorandums, reports, and various forms
  • Perform data entry and generate reports, both electronic and paper, and prepare a variety of status reports on accounts and participants.
  • Supervise work schedules of student office workers.
  • Gather data and prepare reports and maintain Student Access information.
  • Perform a variety of office duties, i.e., copying, faxing, and ordering supplies.
  • Greet all office visitors.
  • Assists SSSD Director, TRiO Project Coordinator, and all professional staff on all office functions and workshops.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to grant regulations and HSU policies.
  • Assist SSS-DISABLED participants when needed.
  • Coordinate adaptive testing program and alternative print.

\ \ Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:\ \ Trained in clerical and office management functions, including computer programs, filing, answering questions, general office record keeping, database management, financial record keeping, mass mail-outs, and other related duties.
