Lathe Machinist
Job Description
The CNC Machinist will set up and operate small turn and vertical turning lathe machines to perform tasks such as turning, drilling, milling, and part complete operations.
Responsibilities
Optimize set-up times and maximize machine utilization.
Understand task specifications by reading blueprints and route instructions.
Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
Troubleshoot programs and make necessary adjustments.
Set up CNC equipment to complete full cycles for high and low volume parts, improve productivity, maintain offsets, and inspect parts with precision.
Follow the in-process part inspection process and notify the Supervisor/Lead of any non-conformance occurrences.
Communicate with managers, programmers, and quality personnel to resolve quality issues.
Essential Skills
2+ years of experience operating CNC Lathe machines in a manufacturing environment, including performing set-ups.
Experience with 3-4 axis machines.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
G Code experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with brands such as Brother, Doosan, Takumi, and Siemens is preferred but not required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
