TEKsystems Coder II – PB Coding in Arlington, Texas
Remote Medical Coder Opportunity:
Our client is looking to hire a Medical Coder onto their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This position starts as a 6-week contract, but has the potential to be extended or converted as an FTE. This role is remote but to be considered, you must reside in AR, FL, GA, MO, NC, OK, TX, or VA.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm with a 1hr meal break.
Top Skills Needed:
Must have CPC or CCS-P
2 years of Professional Profee Coding experience
Completion of advanced level training in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, or similar is required
Advanced knowledge of procedural and clinical diagnosis coding pertaining to professional billing
Experience coding of physician/advanced practice provider services performed in the hospital setting
Knowledge of third-party regulations/payor billing requirements
Excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, strong organizational skills
Description:
Coding E&M services for Coding & Reimbursement department. The team does a 100% charge capture coding for all E&M services in the facility setting.
Accurately abstracts information from the medical records and assigns Profee codes using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS in compliance with established guidelines.
Provides codes to various departments upon request.
Reviews supporting medical record documentation to ensure accurate Profee code assignment (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS) of professional charges in compliance with third party payer, NCCI guidelines and THPG policies. Maintains documentation to record/track coding variance.
