The mission of the Transportation Risk & Compliance (TRC) team is to provide timely and accurate compliance and transport regulatory support to Amazon Transportation Businesses and its carriers, in a dynamic, ever-growing environment.

We are currently seeking a Senior TRC Risk Manager who possesses exceptional judgment, communication skills, and a background in transportation. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a robust training strategy aimed at enhancing compliance with contractual and legal requirements. This strategy will be informed by insights gleaned from defect trends, carrier feedback, audit and monitoring initiatives, as well as emerging risks.

Key responsibilities include owning communication channels, conducting training programs, preparing detailed business reports, providing timely updates to leadership, and delivering impactful presentations to Directors and VPs.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to effectively manage stakeholders while earning the trust of our carrier partners. Key job responsibilities

• Assesses needs for training interventions basis defect trends, carrier feedback, audit & monitoring expansion and emerging risks

• Build training strategy including delivery methodology (frequency, coverage and training plan / calendar)

• Conducts training programs

• Manages new carrier onboarding for TRC related aspects

• Supports Global TRC MM training needs / initiatives

• Holds the pen for meticulously detailed business reports, communications like Flash report / program updates, delivering presentations to director and VP-level leadership. Refines and distills data from diverse stakeholders, transforming it into a compelling narrative for seamless dissemination

The Risk & Compliance Manager will work collaboratively with the business, compliance, legal, and finance teams to implement world-class, customer-centric, compliance and risk management tools and processes.

About the team

We provide Amazon’s transportation programs assurance that Amazon and our third-party managed network carriers operate in a manner compliant with highest risk transportation, contractual, legal, regulatory, and policy requirements. We drive adoption and implementation of pragmatic and scalable risk management solutions to enable business growth. We protect Amazon’s brand by partnering with internal and external teams to proactively measure leading risk indicators. We shape risk mitigation strategies with informed and data driven assessments.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

  • Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent

  • Master's degree or equivalent

  • Fluent in at least one of the following languages: French, German, Italian, Polish, and Spanish

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
