The mission of the Transportation Risk & Compliance (TRC) team is to provide timely and accurate compliance and transport regulatory support to Amazon Transportation Businesses and its carriers, in a dynamic, ever-growing environment. We are currently seeking a TRC Risk Manager who possesses exceptional judgment, communication skills, and a background in transportation. In this role, you will be responsible for developing mechanisms for audit / monitoring, specifically focusing on transportation, to ensure compliance to program polices, federal regulatory requirements and operational integrity, aimed at enhancing compliance with contractual and legal requirements. Key responsibilities include owning development of sophisticated risk models to predict and monitor high-risk areas, ensuring proactive and responsive risk management, collaborate with the team to continuously improve metrics calculations, tools, methodologies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other essential components, driving excellence in all aspects of our operations. Key job responsibilities
• Spearhead the management of risks for US field operations audit/monitoring, specifically focusing on transportation, to ensure compliance and operational integrity
• Attend high-level meetings with senior leaders, providing insightful reports and collaboratively strategizing on the future roadmap for risk management
• Identify and address gaps in risk coverage through meticulous data analysis and awareness of emerging risks
• Develop innovative processes that effectively mitigate these risks
• Develop and maintain sophisticated risk models to predict and monitor high-risk areas, ensuring proactive and responsive risk management
• Collaborate with the team to continuously improve metrics calculations, tools, methodologies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other essential components, driving excellence in all aspects of our operations

The TRC Risk Manager will work collaboratively with the business, compliance, legal, finance, and human resource teams to implement world-class, customer-centric, compliance and risk management tools and processes.

We provide Amazon’s transportation programs assurance that Amazon and our third-party managed network carriers operate in a manner compliant with highest risk transportation, contractual, legal, regulatory, and policy requirements. We drive adoption and implementation of pragmatic and scalable risk management solutions to enable business growth. We protect Amazon’s brand by partnering with internal and external teams to proactively measure leading risk indicators. We shape risk mitigation strategies with informed and data driven assessments.

Basic Qualifications
4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience handling confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
Experience with SQL and Excel
Fluent in at least one of the following languages: French, German, Italian, Polish, and Spanish

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
