Intrepid Solutions and Services AV Maintenance Supervisor in Washington, District Of Columbia

Overview

Intrepid Solutions is seeking an AV Maintenance Supervisor to join our AV Engineering & Integration (E&I) Team and our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Team. These multi-disciplined teams are comprised of AV maintenance technicians, programmers, integrators, and engineers who provide a broad range of AV support for related system components and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to our AV O&M program when new builds are not occurring within the primary customer facility. When new AV builds are occurring within the facility, this team member will work as a member of the E&I team to decommission, install, integrate, and test new AV builds.

  • When working with the O&M Team:

  • Assist with managing and conducting the O&M team’s AV maintenance program which consists of both a proactive (scheduled) maintenance program and a responsive (trouble ticket) program revolving around our customer’s existing compliment of AV hardware and software.

  • Undertake AV system tasks (e.g., troubleshooting, loading, rebooting, synchronizing, etc.) in support of hardware maintenance and operations functions.

  • Install and incorporate new AV system components, software releases, updates, or other changes to COTS hardware and software as part of maintenance support for existing AV systems.

  • When working with the E&I Team on new AV installations:

  • Work as a member of a Task Order team which is responsible for delivering a new AV capability to the customer within a fixed delivery schedule.

  • Decommission and remove AV components from the workspace.

  • Conduct workspace prep when onsite installation cycles are commencing.

  • Assist with equipment delivery, staging, and prep.

  • Install, configure, integrate, and test new AV components.

  • Assist with the updating materials, documents, and reference artifacts which are delivered to the customer.

  • Assist with delivering the finished space and AV capability to the customer which includes workspace prep, documentation, and user/customer training.

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS: This is a full-time position that operates 100% onsite unless otherwise indicated by, and at the discretion of, the Program Manager and customer. Work will occur between the operating hours of 0600 and 1800.

TRAVEL: Position requires travel to customer sites within the National Capital Region based on team assignments which are coordinated by the Program Manager and the E&I Team Lead.

Qualifications

CLEARANCE:

  • Active Top Secret / SCI and CI Polygraph to work on site. *TS/SCI required upon application for initial consideration. This position is not open for any additional clearance upgrades outside of the CI Poly, reactivation, or sponsorship. *

EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma AND 10+ years of relevant experience OR

  • Associate’s Degree AND 5 years of relevant experience OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 3 years of relevant experience

CERTIFICATION(S): N/A

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Performing AV system and video teleconference system installations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, solutioning, and repair.

  • Ability to determine the locations of subject reference material, work procedures, sequence of operations, and AV system configurations to optimize AV system performance.

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Strong team-based approach with leadership and interpersonal skills which support a positive, proactive, and professional work environment which is focused on the needs of our customer.

  • Excellent time management skills which revolve around team schedules, customer priorities, unplanned and responsive break/fix situations, preventative maintenance activities, and supporting customer events which require AV assistance or expertise.

  • Ability to work independently and/or manage a small team focused on providing exceptional AV operations and maintenance support for both preventative and responsive maintenance scenarios.

  • Experience working directly with customers and system users who are experiencing issues with fielded AV systems and capabilities.

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • AV system installations, integrations, troubleshooting and solutioning.

  • AV cabling and hardware component wiring.

  • Troubleshooting computer-based hardware and software related to AV components and infrastructure.

  • Experience with AV teleconferencing systems and suites.

  • Proven experience as a proactive adult learner.
