    What the job involves

    Working within our Information Systems team, you will lead the GIS team in their contribution to the on-going development, delivery, and management of GIS services at Ashburton District Council.

    Providing guidance and direction to the GIS team you will support team development and engagement with business owners and users, as well as developing and applying your GIS skill sets to identify needs and requirements to turn these into spatial solutions that support our Information Systems and align with our GIS Strategy.

    As a team leader within Information Systems, you will contribute to the overall development of the service alongside that of other Information Systems team leads and manager.

    Who are we looking for?

    You’ll be a team player with developed skills and applied experience. Your experience from previous leadership roles coupled with a good working knowledge of ESRI solutions, and associated applications you will be able to work alongside your teammates and end users to ensure that our GIS solutions and applications meet current best practices and industry standards.
