Nestle Supply Planner - Fixed-term in Assago, Italy

Position Summary

We are looking for results driven with high attention to detail professional to join our Nestlé Demand and Supply planning team. Your main mission will be managing and optimising the supply flows for our Inter Market Supply products. This will include driving continuous improvement in the planning processes of the end to end supply stream.

The role will allow you to be in a close touch with the EUR DSP community by being part of the Confectionery Above the Market Team. Besides the stakeholders in your area of responsibility, you will therefore have the chance to be in contact with planners of other EUR Confectionary factories and markets.

A day in the life of a Supply Planner

The key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Looks after Inventories and ensure optimal levels, considering stock covers, DC’s capacity, production cycles and risk management.

  • Establish and periodically review stock policies for Finished Goods

  • Balance the need for product availability versus the need to minimise costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks of the right material in the right location

  • Analyze exceptions, take business decisions within agreed Framework (based on priorities or after arbitration and prodcut allocation) and adjust planning results accordingly. Establish production requirements for short and long term and to follow up on production plans.

  • Analyse and effectively communicate relevant information to respective Stakeholders. Highlighting all supply issues in proper advance. Detailing impacts of proposed actions and related trade offs. Ensuring actions and Supply Plans are realistic and achievable in accordance with the Business Planning process.

  • Challenge Production Planners to manage lot sizes, cycle times to drive optimum FG inventory and required Freshness level. Also challenge Demand Planner to improve Demand Planning Accuracy

  • Ensures proper Master Data settings and Event Management related SNP visibility (launches, re-launches, discontinuations)

  • Participate in initiatives to improve the efficiency, reliability, TDC (Total Delivered Cost) and agility of the end-to-end supply stream.

  • Relevant operational experience (1/2 years), in at least one of the following areas: Production Planning; Factory Planning, Supply planning, Purchasing, Factory Production Leadership or Demand Planning

  • Demonstrable experience of managing multiple stakeholders both externally and internally

  • A good awareness and understanding of business and market trends

  • An ability to adapt and prioritise effectively in a changing environment
