FirstService Residential Gate Attendant in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Overview:

The Gate Attendant will perform duties to provide gate coverage of assigned property, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Greet, monitor, and authorize entrance of homeowners, real estate agents, delivery services, visitors and other persons while maintaining security of premises. Make positive identification and determine appropriate action. Ensure quality, consistent, and overall customer service presentation to residents and guests.
  • Maintain system and logs with required information.
  • Monitor cameras and make incident reports as required.
  • Distribute keys and reservation forms for use of amenities following proper procedures.
  • Implement emergency procedures and respond to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner and within specified guidelines. Maintain awareness and knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Report all issues, complaints, and safety matters to Management.
  • Act as an Ambassador to the community.
  • Always conduct business with the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct.
  • Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules.
  • Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
  • May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
  • Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
  • Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent is required, and previous related experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently and be self-driven.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to learn and possess knowledge of multi-building operations.
  • Must be able to properly represent the organization at all times.
  • Must always follow the company dress code and Policy and display identification badges.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position works under usual good and/or office conditions.
  • Must be able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods and occasionally climb.
  • Must be able to handle, use fingers, grasp, and lift objects and packages and reach with hands and arms.
  • The incumbent must be able to navigate the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions and work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed.
  • Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 30 lbs..

Compensation: $18.25 Hourly; paid bi-weekly
