Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
Bar & Beverage Setup:
Supervise and lead the setup of all bar and beverage stations, ensuring they align with the event’s BEO requirements. Oversee the arrangement of liquor, mixers, glassware, and tools, ensuring everything is stocked and organized for the event’s beverage service.
Beverage Pantry Management:
Manage the beverage pantry to ensure all supplies are well-stocked, organized, and easily accessible. Monitor inventory levels of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, bar supplies, and glassware, and make timely requests for replenishments as needed.
BEO Fulfillment & Coordination:
Review the BEO for each event to ensure all beverage requirements, such as types of drinks, quantities, and service details, are met. Coordinate with the catering team to confirm all specifications are followed and ensure accuracy in preparation and service.
Team Supervision & Training:
Lead, supervise, and mentor the bar staff, ensuring they follow company procedures and maintain high standards of service. Provide training on bar setup, drink preparation, safety protocols, and customer service, ensuring efficiency and professionalism at all times.
Customer Service Excellence:
Serve as the point of contact for beverage-related concerns, responding promptly to any client or guest requests during the event. Ensure the team provides top-quality service and creates an excellent guest experience.
Quality Control & Presentation:
Oversee the presentation of the bar area, ensuring it meets the company’s aesthetic and cleanliness standards. Conduct final checks before the event to ensure that all items are properly arranged and that the area is clean, organized, and ready for service.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with all liquor laws, health, and safety regulations. Monitor staff to ensure responsible alcohol service and that all local and company guidelines are adhered to. Promote a safe environment by managing crowd control and alcohol consumption.
Post-Event Breakdown:
Supervise the breakdown and cleaning of the bar and beverage stations after the event, ensuring that all equipment is stored and organized in beverage pantry properly, and the area is cleaned according to company and safety standards. Assist with inventory counts and equipment maintenance as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in a catering, hospitality, or beverage service role, with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership or supervisory position. Experience in managing bar setups, beverage service, and event execution is required.
Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage a team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of beverage and bar setup, including alcohol service, drink preparation, and beverage inventory.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team coordination and client interaction.
Attention to detail and ability to follow event specifications closely.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 30 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Ability to work in varying event environments, both indoor and outdoor, under different weather conditions.
Certifications:
A food handling or alcohol service certification may be required depending on local laws.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality, event management, or a related field is a plus.
Work Environment:
The position requires flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules. You will work in various event settings, which may include indoor venues, outdoor settings, and catering halls
