Emmy Squared Pizza Line Cook in Atlanta, Georgia
Emmy Squared Glenwood is seeking an experienced and passionate culinary professional to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in bringing our menu to life on the grill and pizza stations. We thrive in a dynamic, high-volume, and fast-paced environment, making organization and attention to detail essential skills for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare all food items on the menu, ensuring consistency, quality, and accuracy of recipes.
Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines.
Set up and maintain assigned kitchen workstations.
Coordinate food production to align with service hours, ensuring excellence in quality, temperature, and appearance.
Utilize facility supplies and equipment efficiently to minimize loss, waste, and fraud.
Practice safe food handling procedures at all times.
Store food properly and safely, labeling with date and item.
Report equipment repair and maintenance needs to management promptly.
Keep the work area clean and organized; clean and maintain food preparation equipment.
Perform other back-of-house duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a line cook in a full-service restaurant.
Knowledge of modern cooking techniques is required.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
Capable of maintaining composure in stressful situations while maintaining a welcoming demeanor.
Able to fulfill culinary duties, efficiently handle guest requests, and ensure guest satisfaction.
Demonstrated ability to produce high volumes of work while maintaining quality per Emmy Squared standards.
Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to lift/carry items up to 40 lbs. and push/pull items up to 75 lbs.
Capable of standing/walking for extended periods, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and overhead reaching.
Proficient in using culinary tools (knives, commercial equipment) and discerning taste and smell.
