Inspire Brands Sr Accountant - Corporate Cash in Atlanta, Georgia
The Sr. Accountant - Corporate Cash will work closely with other departments and team members to support the Corporate Cash function in its effort to be a strong business partner to all stakeholders, contribute to the achievement of Company and department goals and support process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will complete a variety of tasks including journal entries preparation and entry, reconciliations and liaise with other departments.
This role requires an onsite presence at the Atlanta Support Center at least 80%.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and match cash transactions on a daily basis using TRECS software.
Evaluate account balances and reconcile assigned accounts, ensuring unmatched and unreconciled items are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
Prepare journal entries and undertake other steps required to ensure a timely Close.
Provide support to internal and external stakeholders as required.
Maintain internal controls in performance of assigned duties, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial information and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Participate in special projects as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
4-year degree in Accounting.
Education requirements met to sit for CPA exam.
2-4 years accounting experience.
Recent experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP).
Cash accounting and Quick Service Restaurant accounting experience preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES
Strong command of accounting principles and procedures necessary to maintain accounts in accordance with US GAAP.
Strong track record as a proven team player.
Ability to multi-task and a tolerance for dynamic set of tasks and priorities.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and organizational skills.
A desire to work with and communicate with management at a high level of confidence.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strongly preferred: Experience with Oracle or other major ERP systems
