Position Summary

The Innovation Learning Laboratory at Morehouse School of Medicine is seeking candidates who are interested in serving as program coordinator for youth and young adult projects and initiatives led by the Innovation Learning Lab.

The Innovation Learning Laboratory is a pioneering hub dedicated to revolutionizing healthcare through imagination, and community-centric approaches. Located within the Department of Family Medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine, the lab values forward-thinking strategies aimed at developing efficient solutions to serve and uplift diverse communities while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where diverse perspectives converge to tackle population and healthcare challenges. We encourage creativity, experimentation and the exploration of unconventional ideas to drive meaningful change.

The Program Coordinator will provide general administrative project support, perform technical assistance to trainees and participants in youth and young adult projects and the day-to-day tasks associated with project implementation. The Program Coordinator will also assist with the organization, promotion, and evaluation of the youth and adult CHW programs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required

• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of related program coordinator experience

• Experience working in a community-based setting, understanding underserved communities

• Advanced technology skills and experience with web-based learning platforms systems such as Canvas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish Speaking

  • Master’s Degree in Public Health is preferred

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Coordinate logistics for existing and new project participants and groups.

  • Assist with the development, editing, and publishing of existing and new online curriculum modules.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with project and trainee participant’s and provide technical support as needed.

  • Maintains Canvas Learning Management System courses from set up to completion

  • Assist with Innovation Learning Laboratory & Youth and Young Adult events, including orientation, program.

  • graduation, conferences, meetings, and interviews.

  • Assist with planning for Train-The-Trainer Workshops and Stakeholder Meetings.

  • Provide training for Canvas use and navigation to students and facilitators.

  • Assist with virtual program facilitation.

  • Assist with classroom instruction and coordinating volunteers and speakers.

  • Assist with reports, surveys, focus groups, and evaluation.

  • Assist with student projects and monthly monitoring data.

  • Assist with data collection and program evaluation.

  • Establishes relationships with students and families, provides support and encouragement.

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
