Minimum Qualifications:
* Associates degree required.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Records, or other clerical setting in long term care environment required.
* Candidates should be a good communicator, with strong problem solving skills required.
* Candidates should also demonstrate strong organizational skills and possess be a solid self-starter to demonstrate initiatives.
* Legible handwriting, knowledge of medical terminology, along with ability to enter accurate data in computer is required.
* Valid NJ Driver's License, Registration and Insurance are required.
POSITION SUMMARY
The PACE LIFE program Medical Records Coordinator, prepares participant charts for new participants and other program needs. This position sends for and releases medical information, compiles interdisciplinary assessment and treatment summaries, files, copies and faxes medical information.This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Associates degree required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: RHIA/RHIT Certification preferred. Valid NJ Driver's License, Registration and Insurance are required.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employee must be able to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team model, interfacing and collaborating with a wide range of clinical and social service disciplines who work together to manage the PACE participants' care. The work setting is in an Adult Day Health Center and primary care clinic environment with moderate noise levels and controlled temperatures. Requires manual and finer dexterity and eye-hand coordination; the ability to use department equipment; and the ability lift/carry up to 30 pounds using appropriate body mechanics with reasonable participants, customers and vendors and staff.REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to department leadership.
