Job Title: EstimatorJob Description

The Estimator position within our Estimating and Pre-Construction team is crucial for establishing detailed construction estimates. The role involves collaborating with architects, engineers, specialty consultants, and sub-contractors. Project sizes typically range from $25,000 to $50,000,000 USD and may include construction management, general contractor, and design/build projects. Some travel may be included.

Responsibilities

  • Work with architects, engineers, specialty consultants, and sub-contractors to establish detailed construction estimates.

  • Handle projects ranging from $25,000 to $50,000,000 USD.

  • Engage in construction management, general contractor, and design/build type projects.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and vendors.

  • Administer bids, oversee project knowledge, manage project turnover, and handle subcontractor awards and management.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent.

  • 7+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.

  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.

  • Experience in Design/Build, General Contractor, and Construction Management project delivery.

  • Millwright experience.

  • Installation experience in large-scale construction (K-12 and Residential experience not applicable).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in blueprint reading, construction management, cost estimation, and construction estimating.

  • Experience in estimation, construction, bidding, project management, commercial construction, and preconstruction.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced, busy, and occasionally noisy. It may involve managing multiple projects simultaneously and require outdoor work with exposure to various weather conditions. Frequent interruptions to address team members’ needs and vendor requests are common. Effective and professional communication with supervisors, employees, and others, both individually and in a team setting, is essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
