Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will follow detailed work instructions to assemble parts using basic hand tools, perform visual inspections, and ensure quality control. The role requires comfort with computer usage for reading documents and scanning materials. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic production environment with potential for long-term growth and development.
Responsibilities
Follow detailed work instructions for assembly processes.
Use basic hand tools to assemble parts and components.
Perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
Pass assembled parts to the next person or place them on a rack for quality check.
Use a computer to document materials and scan items before and after assembly.
Essential Skills
1+ year of assembly experience in a manufacturing setting.
6+ months of hand tool experience (screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, screw guns, etc.).
Basic computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
Ability to provide examples of computer usage and confidence with technology.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Mechanical experience (e.g., car maintenance, home renovations).
Soldering experience with tools and electronic repairs.
Circuit board assembly experience.

Work Environment
The production environment is 'clean room' style, requiring special shoe inserts to prevent static damage to equipment. With over 50 floor workers, safety is a priority, including labeled restricted areas and designated walkways. The team may need to work overtime to meet project deadlines. 2nd shift hours are from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM potential for 10-hour shifts. (Would train on 1st shift or 3rd shift for a month)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
