Job Title: Sr. Manager, Controlled Environments OperationsJob Description
Reporting to the Director of the Controlled Environments Business Unit, the Sr. Manager, Controlled Environments Operations, will play a critical role in executing the strategic vision for the Business Unit while ensuring the vision is carried to the tactical execution of each individual project. Working directly and in cooperation with the Unit’s Estimator(s), Project Manager(s), and General Superintendent, this role will oversee planning, process & procedure development, quality control initiatives, assist in business development and marketing initiatives, and labor resource coordination to support project pipelines, discovery initiatives, and product development activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, adaptability, and exceptional communication and collaboration skills to a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee planning, process & procedure development, and quality control initiatives.
Assist in business development and marketing initiatives.
Coordinate labor resources to support project pipelines, discovery initiatives, and product development activities.
Work directly with the Estimator(s), Project Manager(s), and General Superintendent to ensure project success.
Ensure alignment of project pipelines with organizational goals.
Drive efficient and effective processes through an analytical and systems-thinking mindset.
Effectively collaborate with teams and the Director.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in controlled environment production practices and facilities.
Proven leadership experience in managing people and cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and the Director.
Analytical and systems-thinking mindset to drive efficient and effective processes.
Experience managing project pipelines and aligning them with organizational goals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Data Center, Pharmaceutical, Large scale Commercial, Clean room/Dry room projects.
Familiarity with controlled environment research, innovations, or applications.
Adaptability to new challenges and a passion for learning and innovation.
Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced, busy, and occasionally noisy. The role may involve managing multiple projects simultaneously and could require outdoor work with exposure to various weather conditions. Frequent interruptions to address team members’ needs and vendor requests are common. Physical requirements include frequent travel by motor vehicle, extended hours on construction sites, and the necessity for physical stamina to navigate the premises. Effective and professional communication with supervisors, employees, and others, both individually and in a team setting, is essential. Strict adherence to safety protocols and the ability to follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment guidelines, and company policies, is required to perform work safely.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $170000.00/hr.
