DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Flexible Work Arrangement: Hybrid

The Analyst will work directly with the Sr. Manager of Market Design to support the development of significant market design enhancements across all of PJM's markets. Support the Market Design team with responsibility for supporting such market design enhancements in the stakeholder process and before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The Analyst will also work to develop PJM's knowledge of market design practices across other organized wholesale energy markets through close coordination with other ISOs and RTOs and independent research.

Essential Functions: * Learn the PJM markets and develop an understanding of the PJM Agreements and Tariffs. * Solving new and complex problems and develops innovative strategies to evolve the PJM markets. * Demonstrates the ability to work independently in the performance of complex studies and analysis of issues. * Gains recognition as a multi-disciplined expert in PJM markets and in other professional organizations. * Maintains an exceptional level of customer focus. * Offers concepts and strategies pertaining to market design that will enable PJM to remain at the top of its field. * Develops contacts with and maintains coordination with the Market Design functions and other markets subject matter experts at other ISOs and RTOs to share best practices and stay apprised of emerging market design approaches. * Independently researches market design approaches employed in other ISOs and RTOs across the world and offered by academia * Develops and delivers presentations on complex ideas to internal and external stakeholders * Develops whitepapers to support market design alternatives and facilitate internal decision making on complex market design matters * Assists & support in the development of revisions to the PJM governing documents to support proposed market design changes * Learn to work closely with PJM legal counsel in the development of FERC filings to support proposed market design changes, including drafting and revising transmittal letters and affidavits. * Work to support & coordinate with Market Operations staff to ensure buy in of market design proposals and consistent implementation of approved market design solutions.

Characteristics & Qualifications: Required: * BS degree in Engineering, Economics, Computer Science or equivalent work experience * 0-5 years of experience Engineer/Analyst * Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail * Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis * Ability to use mathematical and electrical theory * Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support
