What Nuclear Manufacturing contributes to Cardinal Health

Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.

Nuclear Manufacturing is responsible for the manufacturing of time sensitive radiopharmaceuticals in an integrity driven, highly regulated environment (i.e. FDA, NRC, DOT) to support patient treatment through disease diagnosis, staging, and monitoring.

Schedule

  • 40 hours per week

  • 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts

  • Saturday – Tuesday 9:30am – 8:00pm

  • Must be flexible to work other hours and days as needed

Responsibilities

  • Performs standard operating procedures to meet current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).

  • Performs a variety of tasks related to the processing of ingredients and/or pharmaceutical products. This may include bulk drug substance manufacturing, parenteral filling, use of isolator equipment, manual and automatic inspection, labeling, packaging, component receipt and verification, and scheduled area sanitization.

  • Handles raw materials and intermediate or finished products.

  • Mixes chemical compound ingredients and fills parenteral vials for further processing so formulation/filling experience is desired.

  • Performs general maintenance as required on various pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.

  • Trains new employees using the manufacturing training curriculum and OPQ (Observe, Practice, Qualify) forms)

  • Acts as a leader when supervisor is not present in manufacturing areas

  • Communicates effectively with other departments concerning maintenance activities, QC requirements, engineering needs/activities, and validation activities

  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

  • Ability to execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements including Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

  • Ability to manage inventory

  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with SOPs

  • Ability to perform general maintenance and cleaning of equipment and facility

  • Work in partnership with cross functional teams to ensure product/production expectations and demands are met

  • Disciplined approach to adhering to a large volume of SOPs, with the ability to adapt to process improvements

  • Ability to learn and utilize technology to support manufacturing processes
