Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Austin, Texas

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team in Austin, Texas. This role involves performing various administrative and clerical tasks to support our accounting department. The role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity and will be situated in our office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Execute basic bookkeeping duties such as recording financial transactions, updating statements, and verifying financial records for accuracy

• Prepare and manage accounting documents and records

• Process accounts receivables and payables, following up as needed

• Conduct regular audits and assist with budget preparation

• Administer invoices, bills, and manage payroll

• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner and prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements

• Input, track, and manage financial data and facilitate and complete monthly close procedures

• Liaise with other departments, customers, and vendors

• Handle filing, data entry, and record keeping duties

• Research, track, and resolve accounting discrepancies

• Utilize various skills including Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and SAP. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role

• Proficiency in account reconciliation is required

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is crucial

• Experience with billing and invoice processing is necessary

• Must have strong data entry skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Knowledge of QuickBooks is essential

• Experience with SAP is preferred

• Candidate must have the ability to work in a team environment and independently

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks is crucial

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
