The Opportunity

As part of the Data Solutions Support team, this Senior Analyst will leverage Snowflake, AWS, and PowerBI to build best-in-class analytical data pipelines, and management for Ally's Auto Asset Management team. The Sr. Analyst at Ally will utilize analytic and technical skills to innovate, build, and maintain well-managed data solutions and capabilities to solution business challenges.

The Work Itself

Responsible to play as Data Product Owner role to help build a centralized data warehouse using Ally's Enterprise Data & Analytics standards. *

Develop curated data layers for business units to utilize for analysis and business insights. *

Develop and maintain data pipelines and work closely with data engineering team to migrate the production databases to Cloud via Snowflake. *

Extract data from traditional data warehouse, big data ecosystems and cloud data warehouses to produce critical Auto data for Business Analysts, Executives and Operational Leadership. *

Partner with the business to consult and translate requirements to design and develop tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights/data visualization. *

Able to work in Agile team and help formulate technical stories for the data engineering team and help prioritize them based on business-critical data needs. *

Advanced working knowledge of SQL Databases, SAS, Python, DBT and ability to write complex SQL statements to build data tables and reports. *

Stays current with industry trends and leads development of key data/analytics innovation platforms. *

Communicate and display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive, clear, and concise manner. *

Support production reporting and implement data enhancement requests.

The Skills You Bring

3+ Years of Experience, Bachelor’s degree, Masters is a plus (field of study: Computer Science, Data Management, Data Science, Management Information System, Business Analytics) *

Data platforms - AWS, Snowflake, SQL Server, Power BI, SAS EM, Posit, DBT *

Programming Languages - SQL, DAX, R, Python, *

Data Governance/Risk Management - Alation, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jira

Base Pay Range:

Emerging: 70000

Experienced: 95000

Expert: 120000

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
